Yogasannidhi is led by an advisory board consisting of the following members, all of them renowned and accomplished professionals, who mentor the team in executing the centre’s work and responsibilities with discipline, quality, integrity and sincerity.

Dr. J.R.Krishnamoorthy

A veteran in his field, Padma Shri Dr. J.R.Krishnamoorthy has motivated scientific spirit in the Siddha system of medicine for giving it a global recognition. This was achieved through publishing several scientific papers, evolving clinically effective formulations and steering committees set up by the Government of India, Ministry of Health. He was the original formulator of a simple herbal drug for the treatment of a complex skin disorder like Psoriasis that previously had no solution in any system of medicine in the world. His lifetime contributions to society as a medical practitioner has been in rural India. He has been practicing in Kundrathur, 30 km off Chennai, since the early 1950s and still does so at the age of 90. Dr. J.R.Krishnamoorthy was awarded a Padma Shri in 2010 for his contribution in the field of medicine.

Prof. Dr.R.Thiagarajan

Professor and Head of Sanskrit ( Retd) Presidency College Chennai, Director of Vedic Sciences and Astrology, Astroved.com, Chairman-Swami Dayananda’s Digital Library and Research Centre, Chennai, Chairperson- Sanskrit Text Book Committee, Tamil Nadu Govt., President – Sri Yajnavalkya Sabha, Chennai.

Prof.DR.Thiagarajan started his illustrious career as a teacher and went on to become the Reader & Head of the Dept of Sanskrit, Presidency College, Chennai, teaching Sanskrit and allied cultural subjects there for more than 30 years. Prof.DR.Thiagarajan has contributed hugely to popularize Sanskrit which include bringing out 160 C.Ds and 5 D.V.Ds in the language as well as teaching online of Sanskrit. He has authored many books in Tamil, Sanskrit and English as well as textbooks for primary & secondary school and college courses and has been involved in authoring translations and forewords for various works. His stint in translation from Sanskrit to Tamil and English is highly commendable. Prof.DR.Thiagarajan has written numerous dramas, articles and textbooks in Sanskrit and Tamil and he is the Sanskrit book reviewer for The Hindu, a national newspaper in India. He is the founder of the Fellowship of Sanskrit Culture witrh its headquarters at Chennai.

Dr.L.Mahadevan

Dr.L.Mahadevan, well known for his valuable contribution in the field of Ayurveda, is the grandson of Dr.Y.Mahadeva Iyer, a visionary Ayurvedic physician and founder of Sri Sarada Ayurvedic Hospital, established in 1920 at Derisancope, Kanyakumari District. Joining the institution as an ayurvedic practitioner in 1996, Dr.L.Mahadevan has since then carried out many works including teaching, administration, research and publishing books in Ayurveda. A prolific writer, Dr.Mahadevan has authored 75 books both in Tamil as well as in English and has several scientific papers to his credit. Recipient of sevaral awards which include “National Award – Best Scientific Writing Award” for his book Dr. L. Mahadevan’s guide to Ayurvedic Clinical Practice from Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidya Peeth, New Delhi and “Arsha Kula Sreshta Award” by Poojya Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswathi at Arsha Vidya Gurukulam, Anaikatti, Coimbatore, Dr.Mahadevan has participated in several national & international conferences and has conducted classes, seminars, workshops, lecture demonstrations in Ayurveda, globally. Dr.Mahadevan is one of the most respected and an admired teaching faculty in the Department of Kayachikitsa for Postgraduate studies at Pankajakasthuri Ayurveda College, Thiruvanathapuram.

Mrs. Sujaya

A student of Shri T.K.V. Desikachar, Sujaya our senior most teacher started her yoga studies in 1982 and was associated with Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM) till 1996. While at KYM, she has worked as a teacher, consultant and a guide for the Post Graduate Diploma students. She was a member of the Editorial Board for Darshanam, a quarterly journal of KYM. A veteran in the field of yoga and vedic chanting, Sujaya has worked with children and the differently abled and has been teaching yoga therapy classes since the last 30 years. She has handled workshops and seminars on yoga philosophy, practice, vedic chanting and teacher training programs for various students and teachers from all over the world.

Prof. Narayanan

Prof. Narayanan, a retired Professor of Tamil is the founder of Pudhiyadhor, an organization situated at Ramapuram. The organization nurtures the children of the nearby rural areas by exposing them to various activities – art, crafts, dance, music, yoga, karate to name a few. Pudhiyadhor shows the world that it is possible through education that the lesser priveledged children and the villagers can have a better life. Prof. Narayanan’s aim is to bring about an upliftment for the whole community through this project work. The children of Pudhiyadhor come to a common area every evening and during the weekends. They finish their homework, study further and practice their yoga, singing, dancing, arts or crafts etc.

Dr.T. Kannan Rajaram

Dr.Kannan Rajaram is a Consultant Varma Physician & Phychologist operating from Kanyakumari district. An M.D. in Acupuncture, Dr.Kannan Rajaram has double Masters degree in Applied Psychology and in Varma & Thokkana Massage Science. A recepient of several awards in the field of varma, Dr.Kannan Rajaram has done intensive research in varma therapy and has analysed more than hundred palmscripts and manuscripts. He has published thirteen books on varma system of medicine. Dr.Kannan Rajaram teaches varma medical science to medical students and others and his classes on varma therapy are unique in nature.

Mr.Seetharaman Sampath

Mr.Seetharaman Sampath is the founder of SEETHARAMAN & ASSOCIATES, a law firm that specializes in international trade, trade policy, foreign exchange management law and various other regulatory laws in India. He is a renowned international trade lawyer specializing in WTO laws and as a litigating lawyer, he has appeared before the adjudicating authorities in various departments of the government, Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT), Appellate Tribunal for Foreign Exchange (ATFE), High Courts and the Supreme Court in a number of cases. Until May 2000, Mr.Seetharaman was a civil servant. He has served the Government of India as a member of the Indian Civil Accounts Service (ICAS) in various capacities such as Deputy Controller General of Accounts, Ministry of Finance, Deputy Secretary in the Union Public Service Commission, etc.
