Our Teachers

Sujaya

A student of Shri T.K.V. Desikachar, Sujaya our senior most teacher started her yoga studies in 1982 and was associated with Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM) till 1996. While at KYM, she has worked as a teacher, consultant and a guide for the Post Graduate Diploma students. She was a member of the Editorial Board for Darshanam, a quarterly journal of KYM. A veteran in the field of yoga and vedic chanting, Sujaya has worked with children and the differently abled and has been teaching yoga therapy classes since the last 30 years. She has handled workshops and seminars on yoga philosophy, practice, vedic chanting and teacher training programs for various students and teachers from all over the world.

A.F.Lara Abiesheikh

Lara has been teaching Yoga in the tradition of Acharya T. Krishnamacharya for more than two decades. A practitioner from the age of fourteen, Lara’s skill at Asana techniques, both classical and adaptations based on their functions for treating health issues makes his approach both scientific and result oriented. He is an expert at course planning in the areas of Sikshana, Rakshana and Chikitsa Krama. Lara has offered his teachings and services in various settings not only to corporates, multinationals, academic institutions, fitness centers but also to the physically, socially and economically lesser privileged people since the last 20 years.

Sreekala Badri

Sreekala Badri holds a Masters Degree in English Literature and is a certified yoga teacher, having done her intensive 2 year post graduate diploma program at Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram. An immensely skilled teacher in yoga therapy and vedic chanting, the physical and mental health benefits that Kala has experienced through yoga over the last two decades have been extremely rewarding. Kala aims to bring those to other people with her vast experience and sincere commitment. She has been involved in a number of projects for the physically, economically and socially lesser priviledged women and children for over 15 years.

Anuradha Swami

Anuradha Swami holds Two Master’s Degrees in History and Yoga.Apart from being a teaching faculty after the successful completion of the two year post graduate diploma program at Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM), she served as Assistant Director of KYM-Mitra for nearly a decade, a department which worked for the economically, socially and physically lesser priviledged people and KYM-Outreach, where programs were aimed at Corporates, I.T Professionals, Entrepreneurs, Academic Institutions, Home-Makers and other Professionals. Currently pursuing her Masters degree in Sanskrit, she continues to study Classical Yoga texts under the guidance of a veteran Sanskrit professor.

Srinivasan Rajagopalan

Srinivasan started his professional career two decades back as an Engineer, having done Computer Science Engineering from Anna University. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Yoga. Being a seeker of knowledge specially in Indian systems of philosophy, a conducive environment led him to be a practitioner of Yoga and later leading to the completion of the two year Teacher Training Diploma in Yoga at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram. Being a therapist his primary interest involves serving people to realize the importance of yoga to maintain a healthy body and mind. He is currently pursuing Masters degree in Sanskrit and studies classical yoga texts under the guidance of a veteran Sanskrit professor.
